Cinema? More Like Personality Trait

From cinematic masterpieces to absolute chaos I can’t stop quoting, this is my ever-growing collection of movies I love, watch obsessively, or pretend I discovered before they got cool.

Here are my most recent 4 watches.

And here is my Letterboxd

The Thing: 2011

The Thing is an all-timer, let’s be honest. Which is why this movie being so incredibly ass is so disappointing. There are so many plot holes that it's tragic. I know that when the first one came out, it wasn’t received well, but it eventually became a cult classic. Perhaps this one might too, but it’s not looking too good.

Doing a prequel becasue the original is to good to remake just to be safe still somehow screws up what should be an easy slam dunk.

Boy Kills World

I have played video games all my life, so watching this movie that tries to encapsulate the video game genre as a whole felt really weird and forced. There are funny moments here and there, I’ll give it that, but overall, it feels odd watching this knowing what they were trying to do when it could never work in this medium.

His buddy’s final words will now be my final words.

On top of this movie being an all-around fun time, THE MAYHEM GUY! Are you kidding me! Great job, Spike Lee, Denzel, and everybody involved, but the mayhem guy! My Allstate commercial immersion is ruined now.

The Allstate mayhem guy in a movie featuring an inside joke about State Farm and Allstate! Yeah, this movie rocks

The Conjuring: Last Rites

The influence of the Conjuring movies on my life and horror movies in general cannot be understated. The original Conjuring was the first real horror I ever saw, and it scared the shit out of me and the world so much that it basically became the Marvel of horror, and for that, it deserves respect. This franchise will be missed.

They really has past actors popping up at that wedding like they were about to fight Thanos in Endgame
